Lake Manyara · Ngorongoro
An unforgettable 2-day safari to two of Northern Tanzania's most iconic wildlife destinations. Visit Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos and lush groundwater forest, and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's best wildlife-viewing destinations.
After breakfast in Arusha, depart and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. On arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the park's groundwater forest, open savannah and lake shore.
You may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, hippos and the famous tree-climbing lions, while the lake attracts large flocks of flamingos and other birds. A picnic lunch is served inside the park before an afternoon game drive, then you drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for a morning game drive. One of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world, it offers high chances of seeing the Big Five in a single day — lions, elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos and many birds.
A picnic lunch is served on the crater floor. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, where the safari ends.
